When Sue’s grandfather died in 1937, her aunt threw out the family tree but, thankfully, some 30 years later, she was able to establish that a picture of her 3rd great-grandmother, Ellen (Elenor) Nolan had been taken, namely in the town of Leighlinbridge.

Sue now has established that her 3rd great-grandmother Elenor was born in Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow, and she died in Cheshire, England, in 1891.
