Erected by ELIZA NOLAN in memory of her father THOMAS NOLAN of Monemore [sic Moanmore] who died Feb'y 17th 1863 aged 46 yrs also her mother MARY NOLAN al's CONNELY who died Oct 23rd 1884 aged 65 yrs, also her brother MICHAEL NOLAN who died May 6th 1892 aged 35 yrs also her sister KATE who died in America Feb'y 25 1872 aged 25 yrs also her sister MARY who died in America Aug'st 25th 1884 aged 22 yrs. Also the above ELIZA NOLAN died Nov'r 29th 1918 aged 65 yrs and JOHANNA NOLAN wife of the above MICHAEL NOLAN died Feb'y 9th 1928 also their daughter MARY NOLAN ( click to view image )

This old cemetery is located in the civil parish of Wells at Killinane south of Leighlinbridge. It is next to the main road running between Kilkenny city and Carlow town. It does not appear to be actively used but is well maintained. --- A 1985 memorial plaque appears at the foot of a statue of Mary erected in front of the cemetery. ( click to view image )
