Children: six in all
Mary was born in 1877 in Waterford city, the daughter of a John Nolan and Catherine “Kate” Britt. Known siblings were John (1880), Patrick (1885), Bridget and James.
Mary’s father, John, died in his fifties and her mother Kate died in her 60s.
In 1904 in Waterford city, Mary married William Aldridge and two years later in 1906 moved to Swansea in south Wales where they raised a family of six.
