Their one and only child, Anthony Joseph, was born August 29, 1918 in Bridgeport, CT.

In January, 1919, Edward and Brigitte left Bridgeport, Edward working at various places (Berlin, NH; Bristol, CT; Lawrence, MA) until 1925. In that year the family settled in Cambridge, MA, where they bought a home and joined the French-Canadian parish of Notre Dame de PitiƩ.
